About

Greetings,

My name is April Vihilidal, and I am currently a student at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I am a triple major. I am majoring in the following three disciplines.

  1. LAIS (Liberal Arts and Integrated Studies) with a BIS (Bachelors of Integrated/Independent Studies.) The BIS is the LAIS concentration that has the main directive of Independent Research. My area of interest in research is Anthropological Ethnological Archaeo-astronomy and Anthropological Ethnological Literary-Archaeo-astronomy. The following is a link to UROC at UNM UResearch Website that showcases a current Anthropological Ethnological Literary-Archaeo-astronomical discovery that I made in the Spring of 2020 at UNM.
  2. My second area of study is in Anthropology, with a concentration in Ethnology and a minor in Linguistics.
  3. My third area of study is in Fine Arts with a BA in Dance and with a concentration in Flamenco.

When I am not studying or going to school, I care for the elderly. My duties include companionship, encouraging exercises such as walking, gardening, and dancing. I am responsible for meal preparations/clean-up, help with garment changing, and facilitating a healthy evening bedtime ritual. I also help with light housekeeping and everyday daily chores to keep the living space of the elderly clean and organized. I specialize in older adults that have Alzheimer’s. I enjoy these experiences and love to be of service to those individuals in need of my particular kind of caregiving.
